I won’t hide it. Yes, I’m a grown woman, but I know how to fan girl like the best of them when the occasion requires it.
Sure, I toned it down, but I’m talking “respect” and “admiration” and “awe.” All of these words are warranted for Julia Quinn, the world famous yet quietly spoken creative powerhouse who has delighted millions of readers and viewers.
Julia told me she’d never had a real job. What modesty! I like the quiet belief in her own talent that allowed her to write some 40 books, one after another, among them the Bridgerton series which recently shot to fame on Netflix.
How glorious to know that feeling of flow, when the writing process is effortless and so enjoyable that time disappears!

Full House is the best feel good book I have read in a long time. As I read each of the House of Jewels Books I thought, “WOW, this one is my favorite”.
Full House pulls all of the series together in a way that made it impossible to stop reading. When Huntley’s House of Jewels becomes the target of a buyout, each family member and their loving partners had many hard decisions to make about what they wanted to spend their future lives.
It was so hard to stop reading and all I could think was how much I would like to be a part of the Huntley family. They faced conflict and ups and downs but there was almost always love.
The House of Jewels is made up of five books, each detailing one of the Huntleys. They can be read alone but you would be missing a great opportunity not reading each one, as they are all five star winners.
