‘Tis almost the season

Australia’s warm summer days are almost upon us, just as the nights grow longer for our friends in the northern hemisphere.

We’re breaking out the short sleeves and fruit bowls, the beach towels and a cold drink or two as – sunshine or snow – we anticipate one of the loveliest time of the year.

First up, warmest thanks to those who were able to make it to help welcome Plus One at Brighton Court into the world with me and the generous Sophie Green, whose own books warm our hearts.

#gratitude to all involved, including all at Willoughby Library and every one of my VIPs! Your interest keeps me writing, and my next book, The Fall at Brighton Court, is taking shape between all the chapters of real life.

Join us!

I’d love to see you at my next event, at the Global Girls Online Book Club annual author/reader event at Merrylands Bowling Club on Saturday 29 November from 11am to 4pm.

This super fun annual celebration is conveniently timed to be just ahead of Christmas, for those of us who love to give books to the people we love.

There’ll be book trivia, great food and the fantastic company of people who adore books so much they can’t help but write and/or read them! Please join us. Details and bookings.

Susan’s free novella for you, Meggie & Max, features a single dad and a second chance in a small town.

So, be you planning to ski or surf, or to curl up on the sofa with a good book or five, enjoy!
